Brittany Horne - Art

How long have you been teaching?
I have been teaching art for over four years, working with students at both the high school and middle school levels. I have also had the opportunity to teach and share my passion for art in various educational settings.

What is a major goal you want to accomplish this year?
A major goal I want to accomplish this year is to help my students become more confident and creative artists. I want them to learn the elements and principles of art while also developing their own artistic style using the medium of their choice. I would like for them to explore fashion design, photography, printmaking, drawing, painting,and etc 

Why do you enjoy teaching?
I enjoy teaching because I love seeing students discover their creativity and accomplish things they may not have thought they could do. Art gives students a way to express themselves, build confidence, and see the world from different perspectives. Being able to encourage that growth is very rewarding to me.

What are you most excited about for this upcoming school year?
I am most excited about creating a fun, positive, and inspiring art classroom where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. I am looking forward to introducing students to different artists, techniques, and art forms while watching their skills and creativity grow throughout the year. I am especially excited to see the amazing artwork my students will create.
