How long have you been in education?

This will be my 18th year as a professional school counselor. 

What are your most important goals for this school year?

This year, I would like to keep learning. The education and counseling fields are continuously evolving. There is always new research that can help with new ways of thinking and doing.

Why do you enjoy being a school counselor?

I enjoy helping students through challenges where they learn to improve their self-efficacy and become independent. Sometimes it surprises the student when they realize the progress that is being made. Plus, it's always nice to know that you've helped make a difference.

What are you most excited about for this upcoming school year?

I am most excited about new beginnings! Everybody (students, staff, faculty) gets a fresh start! Oh...and creating new memories!
