How long have you been teaching?  

This will be  my 20th year as a professional school counselor.

What is a major goal you want to accomplish this year?  

This year, I want to continue growing and learning professionally.  The fields of education and counseling are constantly evolving, and there is always new research and knowledge that can provide valuable insights and introduce new approaches.  I look forward to continuing to learn and applying that knowledge to better support my students.

Why do you enjoy teaching? 

I enjoy helping students navigate challenges, build self-efficacy, and develop the skills they need to become more independent and confident.  One of the most rewarding moments is seeing a student recognize their own growth and realize just how much progress they have made.  Knowing that I have played a part in making a positive difference in a student’s life is incredibly meaningful to me.

What are you most excited about for this upcoming school year?

 I am most excited about new beginnings!  A new school year gives everyone (students, staff, and faculty) the opportunity for a fresh start, new experiences, and new opportunities for growth.  I am also looking forward to creating new memories and making this school year a meaningful one.
